Personalized Recipe Cards

I really enjoy personalized of even the tiniest details.  Last year as I was planning my wedding I came across a fabulous Etsy shop that sells Digital Monograms.  To me the idea was genius. This allowed me be use the same monogram for just about everything; balloons for the shower, napkins, favors, monogram projected onto the floor, honestly it was everywhere! I was able to work with the seller to customize the image which allows me to use it forever, essentially creating our family brand.

Then I simply designed the layout and copied it into the other cells once I was happy with the format.  The final step was putting a text box with the image in each of the cells to create the personalized watermark.  This was the one step that was a little tricky, mainly because the new updates to Pages has changed the ability to easily position the jpeg image behind the text in the table.  While this extra step was a pain it was worth it; the end result was exactly what I wanted.

I made sure to print on my laser printer so the images wouldn’t smug when I write out the recipe.

Of course I have page protectors for them! Hopefully this provides you with a little inspiration.
